Let’s say a person has cancer. That person would have an oncologist to manage their cancer, but they would also have a pcp to manage their health, a psychologist to mange their mental health because cancer is depressing af, and a support group as well to keep them going. Often times they will have a team of people managing their health and different aspects. To expect 1 person to take care of all these facets is not only impossible, but dangerous because a ball is bound to be dropped. The psychological component of stuttering should be managed by a professional in that field. I will say that I kinda hate this new theory of "accept your stutter and move on". I mean I am sure that works form many people, but what about those people who it won't work for? I hate that anyone who says "eh, you dont have to stutter through life" is immediately branded some sort of traitor. It's dumb.
