I think it's pretty natural to play the "what if" game. It's fine, as long as you don't view it negatively or dwell on it. My stutter was severe, and it had a great impact on who I became. I'm fairly certain I'd be a very different person. But there are a slew of other "what ifs" as well. Change any of these things, and I wouldn't be me. Hell, I might not even be alive. Maybe I would have been on spring break with the two popular kids in my class who got killed by a drunk driver. If you want your life to be different, you have more influence on your life than anyone else. You're here to write your story. *We may always be stutterers, but that doesn't mean we will always stutter.*
