Just sharing an awkward and awful experience. I have more of a block problem but I still stutter but it's definitely not as much as I block if that makes sense. Today I had to go into the store and ask the cashier to break my couple of dollars into quarters so I could use them to fill up my water jugs. I already knew that I always have a rough time saying quarters, no matter what I try I just get a block on it. I got some things, went to the cash register and as she was ringing up my stuff I knew i was running out of time but I was procrastinating because I knew it was going to be terrible. I hold out the dollars and say "Can I trade these in for -----" and I literally couldn't speak. I was just standing there like an idiot with someone behind me in the line and the cashier looking at me awkwardly. THANKFULLY after like 15-20 seconds of just nothing she some how understood what I mean't and she gave me the quarters. Some times I wish I could trade the blockage for more of a stutter because at least then I'd be spitting out something from my mouth instead of just nothing at all. I had to share this with somebody and just vent my frustrations because I don't really talk about this to anybody else.
