Speaking more often throughout the day Hi Reddit. I suffer from speech blocks mostly. I notice that sometimes I speak very little throughout the day. That's mostly by design because I don't speak up at work or anything unless I absolutely have to, for obvious reasons. Lately, I've been trying to change that by reading out loud at least twenty minutes a day and recording myself while doing so. I wanted to record myself so I could see if It could maybe point me towards the weak areas in my speech. (which sounds give me trouble, etc) I notice that sometimes my voice is very low and hard to understand in my recordings, but it doesn't seem that way when I'm actually speaking. I know for a fact it's not an issue with my microphone, so it's an interesting revelation. I'm trying to force myself to do things outside of my comfort zone speaking wise. For example, i started drawing on a twitch stream every day and speaking while I do that. It was nerve wrecking at first , and I do fumble over my words sometimes, but I really enjoy it. Has anyone else recorded themselves and noticed things you hadn't noticed in your speech before?
