Thank you for your response :) I’ve learned many "tricks" over the years to help combat my stuttering. And yeah they occasionally work, but not always. I noticed I stutter excessively when I’m under stress. For example, if I’m sleepy, hungry, anxious, etc, I’ll stutter more with little to no help from the tricks that I’ve been thought. But The "my name is…" trick does help occasionally. But I think the M in "my" does throw me off at times. Cuz like it’s back to back M sounds with "my" and my name. Idk if I worded that correctly lol, but I hope it makes sense.
