I agree that it can be traumatising to put yourself in super difficult situations. Some say you shouldn't avoid situations or use tricks, but repeatedly banging your head against the wall doesn't help either. Find your own balance between pushing out your comfort zone and reliving trauma. Sometimes you've just got to do what's easy, chill out, and try not to beat yourself up when things go badly. You can analyse it and figure out a way to improve another day.
