Stuttering during interviews

Stuttering during interviews I would say I have a “mild” stutter. Most of the time, I can speak fine but it does occasionally rear its ugly head. Its like my brain wont let me say the word and I stumble. I worked with a speech therapist when I was younger. It has really bothered me throughtout my life but has not impacted me much thankfully. My gf is very understanding and wants me to seek help if I feel its necessary. I hate doing verbal presentations for this reason. One area though where I feel you dont have margin for error when it comes to stuttering is job interviews. Whether you like it or not, stuttering during an interview can come across as a lack of confidence to the interviewer which is a major problem. Especially combined with nerves it can become more likely to occue. In order to advance in my career, I need to nail interviews and show confidence and the stuttering can be a negative as I’ve had a few bad experiences already. How have you guys coped with stuttering when it came to job interviews? Any techniques that you used? Thanks!
