I had a stutter when I was in school. In fact, I still have one. I'm 45 years young now. Yeah I'm old :-) I think it's important to realise that YOU ARE GOING TO STUTTER no matter what. And that's okay, because that is who you are. You're a freshman having a major role. Except that you are COURAGEOUS because you are having a stammer. However, since you know you are going to stutter - ánd that it is okay to stutter - you can focus on JUST TRYING TO ENJOY THE PLAY AND HAVE FUN. I remember when I was in school plays ages ago. I loved it! However I got very anxious for the final one, where there were actual people, like parents and such, watching me. I led my fear control me and this resulted in me asking for a non-speaking part. I played the guy working with flea's (don't know the exact translation, sorry). In other words, I played a mute clown. It's one of the things I regret, heheh. So please hear me and just EMBRACE your stammer and try to say what you have got to say. Try not too let fear get to you. Sure, you will stumble, and maybe even hard, but you did it with courage. I wish you all the FUN in the world! Please let me know how it went. (sorry for the CAPS, I'm not shouting, I'm enthusiastic :-D )
