I felt the same way and my family reinforced my feelings of total unworthiness. After university, I was loved, accepted, and married to a wonderful professional man. Though I didn't have the confidence to date much in my teens, my 53-yr marriage to a wonderful man who was never embarrassed to present me, stutter and all, compensated for my teen years being lonely. Perhaps I was saved for Mr. Right rather than being married to my high school sweetheart at 18 teens and divorced at 21 like other girls. Sue
