Think about how difficult it feels for YOU to manage your stutter. Now put yourself in the shoes of your mom/parent. She may not know or experience what you go through, but she is trying to be your rock by helping you be thinking positively and wanting to support you. How would you feel if she started crying with you and showed that she was hopeless. You would be EVEN LESS confident in yourself because the idea that you have some sort of terrible condition would only be reinforced in your brain. ​ Read my latest post, I hope it can help you. It's what I learned to become confident despite having a stutter. This will only hold you back if you let it.
