I always advocate for speech therapy. Even if you've tried unsuccessfully before. Try again. Try something different. Moral tip. Living with regret is hard. I let my stutter make decisions for me. I avoided situations. I didn't seize opportunities. All because I let my stutter dictate my decisions. I had to relive those situations through regret over and over again. Had I to do them over again, a bad stuttering episode is not nearly as bad as those regrets. You get through a speech in front of your class, or any of the other things that stutterers fear, and you can be proud that you stood up there and stuttered your way through it. There's no shame in your disability. The shame comes from avoiding those situations.
