Whilst I understand the feeling of this. It doesn't have to be the case. In my job i maintain and repair electrical systems. I constantly have to run small groups of people. Communicate with other work groups. And talk to people on the phone that don't want to talk me. Whilst Im pretty sure I'm known around the company as the guy who stutters. I think I'm Also known as a guy who can reliable fix shit when it's not working so I've never had anyone be a dick to me. Well sometimes I have but that's usually when I've been a dick to them cause they are being a shit worker haha If I'm Having a really bad day I'll sometimes get my offsider to do some of the less important phone calls for me though
