Stuttering anticipation is formed becasue negative emotions are often accompanied by certain autonomic responses (such as an increased perspiration and heart rate), and our monitoring system records the overall interaction as a ‘negative’ memory based on the negative emotions and consequences we experienced because of stuttering. To manage it you should try cognitive therapies imo.
