I stutter mildly, its blocks mostly. Yes, breathing for is a big issue. When i am anticipating to speak, for some reason i tighten my diaphragm and try to speak and i block. I am addressing the issue at 2 levels now and it is working great as of now 1. Psychological: Sometimes when i am in conversation with others, when its my turn to speak, i don’t take the pressure of it being my turn to speak, i just stay quiet for sometime even when i am supposed to speak. It’s similar to going on a stage to speak and standing there for a moment just observing the surroundings and learning to not feel the pressure. But staying quiet for sometime is not because of being scared, actually it’s quite the opposite, I stay quiet because I want to be very calm. 2. Physiological: I started breathing from my stomach. Now my chest doesn’t at all move when i breathe. And my tongue is always rested on the roof of my mouth. I think, by following the above, I eliminated a major part of stress in my body and mind. I can feel i gained a lot of control and confidence over my speech. And i never let others dictate the pace of my speech. When i talk slow and calmly, i don’t stumble much, so i try to stick to my pace of speaking. As i gain more and more confidence, i think i don’t have to control my pace much
