Repetitive negative thinking seems to be a mechanism of stuttering anticipation (see [Yaruss and Seth ](https://pubs.asha.org/doi/abs/10.1044/2025_JSLHR-24-00175)\- 2025). Can someone maybe share the research so we can learn from it? So the more you worry about stuttering on your name (for example). The more your subconscious might link it to freezing (approach-avoidance conflict). But there are many ways how this "link" can be weakened (process of extinction), like not caring about stuttering anticipation or not viewing stuttering anticipation as a problem to be avoided etc (there are maybe hundreds of other ways)
