How did your SO react to your stutter? Also, my personal situation. I’ve been thinking about asking out a girl who I think is interested in me in one of my classes. We haven’t talked at all, and I don’t talk in the class, mostly because I just don’t, and also because I stutter. I just don’t know how much my stutter would deter her, and if me being upfront (we have a study sheet with the numbers of everyone in the class to form study groups) would be too forward off the get go. I was thinking about texting her saying that I’d like to take her out sometime, but also explaining to her that I have a stutter. Is this a good way to go about asking her out while she has full knowledge that I have a stutter? Also, a more general question, how did your SO react to finding out about stutter? I would think if they are already attracted to you, that it wouldn’t matter. But I could be wrong. I’m really interested in this. Edit: I’m a sophomore in college, just to get an age range, if that mattered.
