Thank you for that. Your anecdote is inspiring. I’m a young doctor who’s at a major crossroads in my life when it comes to my career, and sadly my stutter is proving to be a major burden in moving on with my life (going into residency), to the point where I have depression. It helps a lot to know of others, yourself and the senior editor you describe, who not only survive in high level positions but thrive in spite of their stutter. Its making me reevaluate things in that my fears may be largely unfounded. I hope you get past this unfair setback and land on your feet as you seem like a very strong person.
