Let me preface this by saying that everyone is different, what works for one may not necessarily work for someone else so I am just sharing my experience. The "it is what it is" attitude is what made me stutter way way less than I used to. At school, later teens and early 20's, it bothered me, made me nervous to speak, so I stuttered more. The older I got, the more F I gave, and I started to stutter way less.
