My shy 6 year old daughter (who is a moderate to severe stutterer), just recently found her first friend who is also a very shy stutterer, just a year younger. They just had their first playdate this morning, and they were both so fluid with each other …maybe not in speech, but they played unabashedly and without judgment and flowed with each other like they’ve known each other forever. It was a joy to watch. They both found such connection in each other that they literally wept when it was time to leave. That’s probably my most positive thing I have for weeks to come tbh. lol. It was beautiful.
