Yeah, I'm not suggesting every Ashkenazi Jew stutters - they don't. I'm also not suggesting if you're an Ashkenazi Jew and stutter, it is the Ashkenazi Jewish gene causing the stutter. But stuttering is noticeably more prevalent amongst Ashkenazi Jews, and it also correlates with IQs over 120 and below 80 in the Ashkenazi Jewish community according to studies. My stuttering was late onset and correlated with intellectual developments in second grade that led to a discussion about skipping a few grades that stressed me out and kinda locked in the stutter thereafter. Personally, I don't see the link as coincidental in light of studies on Ashkenazi Jewish genetics, and am very confident that I didn't happen to suddenly advance three reading levels and develop a stutter independent of one another. I'm fairly certain that in my instance it had to have been the same gene manifesting itself because I also have a relative who is special needs who stutters the same as me. We also have a family tree of stuttering going back as long as it's traced.
