>reading out loud and being told to “slow down” Doesn't sound like speech therapy much, to be honest. Just sounds like some of those "platitudes" that we hear about so often. Definitely go try out some proper speech therapy. _Fluency_ isn't the goal, _managing_ is. There are different techniques, depending on your patterns of stuttering. You can probably tell from many other threads on the subject in here that it's important to find a therapist who's got the right training.
