You should read Lee Lovett's "Stuttering and Anxiety Self-Cures". The book is based on the ideology that if you only focus on speech activities where you don't stammer (such as reading aloud) you can attempt to forget how to stammer (or at least slipping into it all the time). As for the instances where you're forced to say something difficult, some 'crutches' are described to get through the words where you manipulate your speech but avoid feeding your stuttering consciousness. Testimonies of many people who have used the crutches and improved are shared along with their stories. The author is generally very wholesome and his book really does give hope, if nothing else. Not to mention he actually overcame stuttering (as he speaks fluently in his youtube videos). Personally, I have not been able to implement the crutches, simply because I haven't tried enough and I have no excuse. But the least I can do is share the source of the potential cure. Hope things get better for you, and all of us.
