Yes, I’ve been working in healthcare for about 11 years now and I have worked for a few large hospital system and I am aware that they have a quota with hiring people with disabilities. But, at the same time I kind of feel as though once they reach that quota they may not give an applicant a chance. I do not hide the fact that I stutter from recruiters or management/ colleagues. My very first job as a teenager I put on the application that I stuttered and looking back on that job experience now, I was definitely treated differently. Which is why I subsequently choose not to disclose that in the application process now.
