Theory Why is it we get blocked more on the phone , or when talking to people in general, when alone i almost never stutter when talking to myself and could say anything fluently but around people I have trouble even introducing myself I’ve always stuttered but it got bad when i started to become self conscious about it like 3 years ago i used to never worry about introducing myself talking to people etc Is it anxiety causing us to stutter? Like a lot of people here my stutter has really fucked my self confidence and self esteem in social situations It really sucks i got the short end of the stick my older brother is sociable and doesn’t stutter speaks fluently etc Whenever i talk to my mom about my stuttering she says i got it from her like it’s a good thing this makes me mad but i know it’s not really fair to get mad at her because like me it’s not her fault that she stutters
