One of the better posts I’ve seen on here in awhile. It’s all true. I went into the Navy and that helped me a lot. Lied to get in of course. I don’t lie much but it had to be done. I still recall my first time on the bridge doing a small part of my job as lee-helm. I hosed a repeat back to the conn. Just locked up. To say that was a massive screw up is understated. Everyone on the bridge of a US Navy DDG stared at me until I could…. and I qoute “unfuck myself”. Never happend again and I became a rock star in my assigned role. Long time ago but still seems like yesterday lol.
