I’m defining body tension as when our muscles tighten. Our chest tightens, diaphragm and vocal cords contract, and it cuts off our air flow, causing stuttering. That’s my understanding of stuttering. Then when you try to hide the stuttering, it causes more of this tension. At the very least I think you are anxious to stutter in front of others. If not you wouldn’t be having intense blocks. You would rather be easily and effortlessly allowing yourself to stutter. Or maybe you are having stuttering because you are trying to hide your adhd symptoms and communication style from other people, which is causing tension in your body.
