I understand I avoid the phone/radios/walkie-talkies at all cost no matter how much money/promotion was being offered. When I did try everyone would laugh and basically go ”there's *****”. I would laugh it off but in reality, it just made me more nervous. I had a job talking with the public, that I did ok at, I would get into a routine and just talk to people. I wonder why drug companies don't do psych med effects on stuttering. Since it affects a part of the brain the same thing their meds already do. I had some psych meds that made it seemingly impossible for me to talk it felt like. I have found that when I am by myself I talk to myself just fine. It's when other people come into play when things get dicey. I don't stutter around my children 98% of the time. I have found it's easier to talk to females. My experience is they are nicer I guess. What kind of work do you do? I'm disabled, which sucks but it's life. What kind of fluency tips/tricks do you use?
