Do you feel as if your awkwardness is purely due to your stutter? **I feel that if I became fluent overnight I'd stop being awkward within a few weeks of socialising.** A while back I was hanging out with someone I WAS acquaintances with and in the middle of someone's speech I wanted to make a quick remark but after the first word my speech just completely stopped and I couldn't finish off my sentence. It definitely created some awkwardness between us and a few other similar things happened after, where I couldn't say a whole sentence but only a word or two, which sounded extremely odd out of context.
