Hiring manager here. First, very sorry for your trouble. Second, I would not hesitate to hire somebody with a stutter provided the role wasn't reliant on quick communication. I can see some sales-related roles perhaps having a barrier on a severe stutter. I had a stutter myself throughout my childhood and early teen years so maybe it's easy for me to sympathize with. I wouldn't expect somebody to begin their interview explaining their stutter, because I understand the stress of an interview and simply praying you can get through the whole thing without a block. It's a gamble.
