Im 44yo with a life long stutter and I blink and avoid eye contact alot when I'm having a bad day.. but if I focus enough and slow down to a robotic speech pattern,I can control it. Hope it works out but I'd recommend embracing it as part of who your son is as soon as it's deemed to be a lasting speech impediment 🤷‍♂️
