Why do so many people think I'm "faking" my stutter online?

Why do so many people think I'm "faking" my stutter online? I have a pretty bad stutter as it is. I get stuck on syllables, I go "uh, um, like" when I'm talking, and my face gets pretty mangled as I'm trying to talk. Lately, I've been running into more and more people and groups that mock my stutter, along with asking me "why I'm faking it". I'm not proud to admit this but I started to cry after four people starting bearing down on me. I couldn't leave because it was a more serious mode and I didn't want to lose. After I hit the mute buttons and cleared up, I started wondering why so many people think that I'm faking my stutter. I came to this subreddit to ask you guys on the matter.
