You shouldnt let your stutter ruin friendships, I mean if your old friends sucked that bad and made fun of your stuttering then screw em. In college I stuttered pretty bad around a friend while we were drinking one night and hes like y-y-y-y-you ok-a-a-ay ther-e-e b-b-b-uddy. I just laughed it off and was like wow that was bad. You just gotta roll with what you got. It sucks but if you let you stutter dictate your life then you wont have much of a life. Idk what kind of techniques you use to help minimize your stuttering. I've really worked on talking slower, and when I know i'm gonna stutter, I just stop speaking and fake cough or pretend there is something in my throat. It works and I have the occasional stutter and people look at me funny but so far my new classmates dont really notice much.
