Don't let the fear of stuttering prevent you from making friends and talking to people. It can be hard at first, but if you embrace who you are, people will definitely understand. If it ever comes up or you feel like you need to, be open and tell someone "I have a speech impediment called a stutter," or "I am a person who stutters." I wish I would have been more open about it as a freshman. I would have been more relaxed about it. As other people said, college students are more open and relaxed about things. They tend to be more accepting than let's say high school. You'll do great. Don't let your stutter prevent you from trying new things and meeting new people :)
