Thank you for this comment. This is so important and it took me a long time to figure out that accepting, owning and managing my stutter was going to be the only way to live my life the way I want. AND YES, see a speech therapist. I saw lots of speech therapists as a child, but at 21, I saw one for the first time since I was 12 or 13 and it truly changed my life!! I'm 26 now and my stutter is very much a part of my everyday life and of course, some days I fill with self pity and wish it could just go away, but for the most part, I manage and deal with it, and sometimes even like it.
