It doesn’t go away. I stuttered since I was 6 or 7. Looking back I don’t remember high school being that bad. I mean, outside of the dreaded presentations here and there. University and nursing school were pretty tough. But the hardest part I find is now... Real life... working and day to day things. I think unfortunately my stutter bothers me more now being a young adult. My fluency isn’t always that bad but there are sometimes when the blocks are really tough. And then there are times when I’m so fluent and it comes like a breath of fresh air. It comes in waves I’ve been to quite a few different SLPs and I didn’t gain much from the therapy. And in all honesty my stutter was at an all time high during those times. The same with trying a stuttering support group. It made my stutter worse. I don’t know why that was... maybe I never found a SLP that I could connect with. I would say work on you. Be the best you can be... physically, mentally and spiritually Go to the gym and study your ass off.
