Thanks for sharing your experience! I've heard similar things from a few others as well. I have periods of time (for me, usually just a few hours) where I don't notice any stuttering occurring. It's interesting how it can decrease or even disappear like that for a time. I guess what I hope to communicate is that for the vast majority of people who stutter past the age of 7 (approximately), stuttering will be something they experience for the rest of their life, although there may be ebbs and flows in what it sounds or feels like.
