Great! Keep talking! :) As for practicing on your own, this might not bring about much in terms of practical results, since it's a different situation/context than actually speaking to anyone. However, it may allow you to gain some perspective on your own voice. That's something! I mean, if you've been fearing your speech all this time, I think it must be nice to just let go of some sounds, regardless of audience. I think a lot of stutter management is indeed mindset maintenance. We shouldn't go around feeling so sad all the time, it's not healthy. Rather, we should get used to this weird little thing we have. It's no big deal overall - really, it isn't* - so we should not allow it to take up such huge amounts of sad space. - --- *: I'm 41, and experience tells me that the people who are worthwhile to spend time with just want to hear what I have to say, regardless of how it comes out. Abstractly speaking, we're all the same in that regard, stutterers and non-stutterers. :)
