There are currently treatments that undoubtedly show effectiveness for treating is stuttering, although it depends a lot of the person, and as you say, no complete cure has been discovered. Futhermore, the drugs I mentioned above are not approved by the FDA yet. That does not mean that it is illegal for your psychiatrist to give you a prescription. It just means that if your psychiatrist does not have deep knowledge about stuttering, he just will grab a giant book and search the official treatment... which is therapy, and maybe also therapy. Just an advise, there are a couple of mods here that can not accept that stuttering is a disorder, so they hate everything related to treatments... Take care. And for the mod seeing this comment that wants to ban me because of the rule 3, I did not post scientific evidence because there are a lot drugs that can be used to treat stuttering, and I do not have time to make the post as long as the Bible. You can find plenty of studies and all the scientific evidence you want in a couple of seconds using google
