It’s great to hear that you have come such a long way. That gives hope to many, including myself. I agree with your explanation of blocks. That’s what I’ve been living with for a couple decades. Here’s what happens when I block: I want to say “Can you grab the carrots and put them in the refrigerator.” I say “Can you grab the carrots and aaa and aa and.” Full stop. I didn’t start stuttering because the word “and”. I started stuttering because my brain knew that I would stutter on “refrigerator” and it stopped me before I got there. So, unfortunately, I always have an arsenal of synonyms for everything (even my name). When my brain picks that feared word, I consciously have to shut it down and say “No no brain, I have another word, so you can continue” Ugh, it’s exhausting lol
