Well, when you tell a marginalized group that 90% of them are failing, what kind of reaction do you honestly expect? We are already used to the statitics being against us, now we get another made up one about us being lazy? No thanks. I've done "the work" (stuttering advertising, 10 different therapists/ groups, job interviews for practice, practice phone calls to businesses, talking to strangers) and still have days where I come on here just to see that I'm not the only one dealing with stuttering issues. Using reddit to vent about a speech disorder is not synonymous with being lazy. You assume people aren't working hard, but how do you really know that? I don't think your an asshole, I just don't think 90% of "us" are lazy asses who haven't done anything to help themselves. Also, if I had the means to go to Europe alone, I would. And I world order a ton of gelato.
