I stutter sometime, usually in a sliding scale based on how confident I am in the subject matter or crowd’s receptivity (professionals vs teenagers). The biggest thing is to find your tricks, synonyms, etc and have them ready to roll and use them as needed. I brief technical stuff to non technical folks regularly, often telling them how vulnerable their shitty security practices leave them wide open. Usually not an easy conversation when fixed are $$$ and time lost, or worse, $$ time and intellectual property. Yeah I stutter some times, but it’s the attitude of “I’m going to talk, and it’s gonna be good or bad, but you are gonna listen to what I have to tell you.” Confidence baby. Grab life by the horns and skullf*ck it.
