Yep, he’s definitely not a speech therapist. I’ve only just delved into it, but I like the idea of consciously using tactics to help myself. My anxiety has been diagnosed by a professional who I see regularly. Is that what you meant? I talk to my normal psych regularly about my speech too. But they’re also not a speech therapist. I’ve never lived without a stutter, and I’ve only ever seen a speech therapist twice so I can’t say anything about a diagnosis from one. My initial “probably categorised” meant it was not an official fact, and was basically to tell the people who can’t just stop stuttering on certain words that my stutter could be very different to theirs and my strategies won’t work for everyone. I don’t have much more info than that :)
