My father owned his own company, so he was at the top. He worked evenings, nights often and didn’t get to see us much. He died early ultimately due to heart issues brought on by stress and poor life choices he made in an attempt to cope with his career. He made lots of money but at the cost of his quality and quantity of life. So. I would rather be “lower” on the ladder but happier and healthier.
