I've only really opened up about my stutter to my fiance, and even still, it's spotty. But the important thing is to do it anyways. If they love you, they will listen and not judge u...cuz it IS hard to talk about, it's uncomfortable and awkward af. But if they really care about u, they will listen and it will get easier and easier. I'm comfortable enough to make jokes about it...it doesn't make me stutter less, but it makes the topic easier to address....cuz bottling it up inside won't help...ever. it will feel good to have someone to confide in and talk to with no judgements. I'm 28 now, I met my fiance at 25 and I first addressed it seriously at 27....it will take time, but in the end, it's ok.
