What I’ve read very early on was that there is a lack of blood flow in a part of the brain - the Broca’s area (very similar to trauma victims) - that is different than normal people. On top of that, the brain seems to be wired differently. I don’t have extensive education on it but that’s the gist of what I understand. You can really describe it as a speech disability, impediment, communication disorder, or anything like that to differentiate it from stuttering. The word stutter really does have different meanings to people and that’s where the difficulty may lie. And no problem at all :) It took me a while to learn to stop giving power to others, and so it’s a piece of advice that means a lot to me. Hope it benefits you as well!
