I don't think completely giving responsibility to genetics is beneficial either tho. I'm most probably one of those neurological stutterers and I don't think it is true to claim that 'if your stutter is genetic, there is nothing you can do'. Manifestation of our genes does not happen in a hypothetical vacuum like many scientists falsely assume nowadays. There are a lot of complex bidirectional mechanisms going on in the place of interaction between our genes and environment.
