has anyone else tried drinking to get rid of their stutter?

has anyone else tried drinking to get rid of their stutter? recently i went to a party and ended up drinking for the first time. one thing i noticed was how little i stuttered which was something that i was really excited about. normally when i try and talk to new people it's like im having an asthma attack (dont have asthma) with the way it looks like im struggling to breathe, but at that time i was completely fine just wondering if anyone else has had similar experiences
