Just a vent about the two things I hate most about having a stutter 1) I hate that I sometimes don’t order what I want to eat, especially at the drive thru. If someone’s in the car and I’m ordering for us then my anxiety peaks - I have no control over what they might order and the sounds involved. 2) This’ll seem hypocritical (following point 1), but I hate the assumption that I want/need to be cured. Why is fluent speech the ultimate goal? Sure it’s be nice to have the tools and capacity to use when I really need but perhaps stuttering is integral to who I am and I don’t wish to eradicate that?! (But maybe I do). Meh.
