I'm 40 years old, and I've had a stutter all my life, and I know the feeling. Stuttering (the constant anxiety, grief, anger, worry and utter hopelessness about your future) are all signs of clinical depression which is just a chemical serotonin imbalance in the brain. Talk to your doctor, there may be a ridiculously easy fix like taking anti-depressants for a few months. I took Peroxetine and after 3 days it totally cured my anxiety, it eliminated my depressive negative thoughts, and most importantly it totally eliminated my stuttering, and I couldn't stutter even if I wanted to. But I had some allergies to it and couldn't take it long term. Other things that have helped me with stuttering are: Xanax on an as needed basis, vitamin D, heavy weight training and cardio exercise, martial arts, good sleep, sex, hot showers, swimming, getting away from stress-causing situations/people.
