Nice! I look forward to your vlogs. Yeah the events of today put me in a stuttering "valley". But it's the start of spring break for me so I'll take the day off tomorrow from everything, maybe go for a hike, just not think about it and hopefully move past it. We don't get a lot of verbal presentations but I have another one in a few weeks in front of a few of my peers in class so it's like you said, I can't build it up or else it'll be a self-fulfilling prophecy of thinking I will fail which will lead to failure. It's just frustrating at how I'm letting it dictate my life. Unfortunately, I'm in a field where succinct communication is important and where the jargon is complicated with unnatural syllables (drug names and medical terms). But when the fluency is going great, things are great but when it's not, it's a nightmare. I probably should've done computer science haha. But yeah I agree, the school-sanctioned speech therapist when I was in grade school didn't know how to deal with stuttering so the techniques that they taught me didn't work and weren't helpful because they missed out on the coping/psychological aspect of stuttering. I also have a bad habit of substituting words and using fillers which masks rather than addresses the problem. I think I will look into seeing a SLP who specializes in stuttering when I have more time. Best of luck! It's great to see a fellow stutterer putting themselves out there. Would love to hear if you notice any benefits with keto. I've just heard it's really hard because like, one banana could throw you out of ketosis lol.
